Friends of OPERA SPANGA

The goal of Friends of Opera Spanga is to foster interest in the work and the performances created by (or under the auspices of) Foundation Spanga, the Verona of Weststellingwerf. Our major center of attention: bringing opera into people’s hearts. The Friends’ Foundation works alongside Foundation Spanga and has a supportive function.

You can become a member by making a donation of € 25,- (or more of course) to giro account NL97 INGB 0007948200 of Stichting Vrienden van Opera Spanga, Amsterdam. Please indicate 'Friend Opera Spanga'. Please give your address details when transferring. Automatic collection is not profitable for the Friends of Spanga foundation. However it is very easy, and advantageous for both parties, if you pay your contribution by annual or monthly automatic transfer.

Your contribution to Friends of Spanga helps us to provide extra support for the musical productions. In the past we have helped finance a new digital administrative system, an opera DVD and the creation of a website in 2008. This latter has been completely refurbished in 2017. All of this thanks to your donations. It goes without saying that we are extremely grateful.

In return we try to keep you up to date with the coming productions by means of a Friends’ Newsletter (in Dutch), in which you can also find interviews with our singers. The Newsletter provides background information about cast and crew in Spanga and the world of opera.

What does Friends of Opera Spanga offer you as a member?

• The possibility of ordering tickets in the advanced booking period.
• In the spring and fall extra information in a newslatter about the production.
• Assigned seats.
• Annual Friends’ Afternoon, in which you can attend a rehearsal and get background information from Corina van Eijk and others.

The Friends’ Foundation has (cultural) ANBI status; your donation is tax deductable up to 125%.

The foundation is a volunteer organization. The board members function on a voluntary basis.
