Once upon a time in the North

Telling and reading fairy tales appeals to the imagination. For centuries, sagas, legends and fairy tales have been passed down to impart lessons, ideas and thoughts, or to serve as a distraction in a world as complex as ours.

Storytelling takes place in many different languages, but the language of music is universal and can be understood everywhere.

In collaboration with the organisation Méér muziek in de klas (More Music in the Classroom) and the Noord Nederlands Jeugdorkest, Opera Spanga is performing the multilingual show Once upon a time in the north, featuring fairy tales such as The Golden Key, Little Red Riding Hood, Rumpelstiltskin and Sleeping Beauty. The show will be performed in Sneek and Groningen.
