Tjalling Wijnstra conducts his orchestra Filharmonie Noord lyrically and when necessary painfully harshly through the score. Artistic director Corina van Eijk is responsible for the staging. She guarantees the typical Opera Spanga signature, which in this case, true to Verdi, shows the shabby edges of humanity. The tried and tested artistic team, Jolanda Lanslots (set design), Pieter van Rooy (costumes), Henk Post (light) and Marjan Boukes (make-up) gives form to this production.
