Donna Giovanna

W.A.Mozart/Lorenzo da Ponte

Under the auspices of the Friesian Festival Opera Spanga is presenting Mozart's Don Giovanni with an old-fashioned view of the Spanga horizon and modern insight into the evolution of the masculine and the feminine.

Mozart's Don Giovanni is one of the most famous operas in the history of music. The tale of the infamous womanizer is familiar to a wide audience.
But what happens when this Don Juan is not a man, but a woman? Is the born seductress just as much a hero as her male counterpart? Or is she, by virtue of the fact that she is a woman, a common slut?

Donna Giovanna, the queen of lust, sets no limits to her appetite. She devours unscrupulously until the collective conscience devours her.
